OCEANFRONT Hatteras Summerplace Dr. — There’s only one way to describe the 4,500 sq. ft. GOD’S PROMISE. It’s simply heavenly. Ideal for one extended or multiple families, this six-bedroom/six- and two-half-bath home offers the promise of awe-inspiring sunrises, renewed connections, and constant reminders to live in the moment.

As soon as you pull into the carports, let your two welcome dogs out to sniff the grass, and unload your bags with the use of a convenient elevator, you’ll feel the tranquility of this beachfront hideaway take hold. A boardwalk right next to the home leads you across the dunes to the water’s edge. An even closer waterfront option is a private pool, two outdoor showers, and a gas grille. A few steps up to the first level reveals a covered deck featuring Adirondack chairs and inside, a roomy game room featuring a pool table, wet bar, café table, sectional couch and 50-inch TV. There’s a half-bath on this level, too, along with an ensuite bedroom with two bunkbeds, giving the kids their own space.

About the Area

Located in Hatteras, this vacation home is on the beach. Graveyard of the Atlantic Museum and Frisco Native American Museum are cultural highlights, and some of the area's activities can be experienced at Village Marina and Hatteras Harbor Marina. Frisco Mini Golf and Go Karts and Buxton Seafood are also worth visiting. Be sure to check out the area's animals with activities such as game walks and birdwatching.

Getting the best rental value:

  • In the Hatteras area, The sooner your group can book a vacation rental, the easier your search will be. The most desirable vacation homes are reserved early. Reserving your rental home six - twelve months before your vacation dates is recommended. Holiday gatherings are excellent times to plan and reserve your rental home.
  • Summertime is high season in Hatteras. Booking in Fall or Spring months is a great way to save on your vacation. Rental rates are lower, and you'll find a larger selection of suitable properties. Many vacationers use this strategy to find larger homes within budget, or to book a beach front rental that would otherwise be unaffordable during the Summer months. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook the holidays for a Hatteras vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday on the coast? Christmas, Thanksgiving, and New Years Eve are great times to gather with family and friends at the beach.
  • Active Duty and veterans of the US Armed forces may qualify for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property owner if your family qualifies for a price reduction.
  • Property managers often offer renters an option to add vacation insurance. Trip insurance, which costs anywhere between 1% - 5% of the base reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for any days missed as a result of personal medical-related catastrophes or weather, as well as hurricane evacuation costs or charges, such as an unanticipated hotel or additional gasoline expenses. Trip insurance can be a a welcome relief if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your property manager for additional information.
  • Often, property management companies and vacation rental houses supply Hatteras area visitor guides which often include special deals, either offered directly by local companies, or through a partnership between the management company and the business itself.   • Be respectful of your neighbors. Often times, surrounding homes are filled by permanent residents. Respecting late-night noise limits and parking regulations is the right thing to do.
  • Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local resident! Neighbors can often help you find the best spots in town. Who better to ask where to book the best tours, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for BBQ?
  • Double-check every room of the rental property to make sure that you've packed all of your family's items on check-out day. Remember to check garages, decks, and cabinets for hidden treasure. Clean out the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
  • Inspect the rental a final time and scan for damages to contents or the property itself. We recommend walking through with the host whenever you can (often this isn't possible). If the host is not available, take photographs of the property to record its condition at check-out.
  • Did your family have a great vacation? Most rental management companies make it easy for clients to provide comments. If your rental and/or property manager was fantastic, they always love to hear your praise. If anything was amiss and they failed to address it reasonably, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make it a point as part of your review.
