How to get the best Frisco vacation property experience:
Getting the most from your vacation rental budget:
- Summertime is high season in the Hatteras area. Reserving a rental home in Fall or Spring is one of our best tips for saving money on your vacation. Rental rates are lower, and you'll find a better selection of acceptable properties.
- In the Hatteras area, The sooner you can book, the better your selection will be. The most desirable vacation rentals are booked early. Booking your vacation home six to twelve months before your travel dates is recommended. Christmas, Thanksgiving and New Years Eve are excellent times to plan and book your vacation rental.
- Some hosts and property managers offer discounts for veterans and active duty military. Ask your property manager if discounts are available for your family before you book.
- Booking websites often offer guests an option to obtain trip insurance protection. Trip insurance, which will generally cost anywhere between 1% - 5% of the stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for missed time as a result of medical-related issues or weather disasters, as well as evacuation charges, such as an unanticipated hotel overnight or extra fuel expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a life-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask the property owner for more information.
- Find a copy of your local Hatteras area magazine upon checking in. If your rental doesn't have a copy, you can find them at local shops and fuel stations. In addition to great information, visitors guides have coupons for nearby accommodations and attractions.
Selecting the perfect rental in Frisco:
- Begin by selecting your trip dates and a max budget.
- Determine how many bedrooms and the bed configuration your group needs. Frisco Beach House! 4 lots back, Fall & winter snowbird specials 20% discount! has 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms.
- Precise descriptions of bedrooms and bed counts is often available online. If they are not listed, call the host before reserving the property. Remember that most listings specify the maximum guest capacity, which oftentimes includes sofa beds in living rooms.
- Looking for particular amenities? Most rental search websites include search filters with amenity lists. Amenity filters help you quickly remove less-optimal properties.
- Appropriate accessibility can make or ruin a vacation for guests with disabilities. Confirm all necessary amenities are available and included before reserving a rental.
- Some rentals allow pets, but others don't. Allowable types of family pet, weight and breeds may be restricted, and added charges may apply. Ask the property management company about allowable breeds and types before booking.
Know before you go:
- Take a copy of the property manager's contact number and arrival/departure procedures for your rental home. Put the manager's contact information in your smartphone.
- To make sure that damages aren't linked to your stay, record any problem areas during arrival. Call the host immediately to document your findings. If there is a dispute, having the recorded problems and contact attempts will be valuable.
- Hosts are available to help! Don't be shy to ask any questions before, during, or after your stay.
- Respecting late-night quiet hours and parking policies can make a stay more pleasurable. Be a good neighbor. You'll magnify your chance to make local friends, and resident neighbors are an incredible resource to find the best local beaches and restaurants.
- Don't forget to... Ask a local! Residents can typically help you find the best spots in town. Who better to ask where to go for the best drinks, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for fishing?
- Protect the rental owner (and your things!) by keeping the rental locked up when you are gone, just like you would back home.
- Just prior to departing, complete a walk-through to confirm you did not forget anything. Make sure to check bathrooms, dressers, and closets for hidden treasure. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
- Walk through the property one final time and keep an eye out for any damage. We recommend walking through with the host whenever possible. If the manager is not available, remember to take pictures of the property to record its condition at check-out.
- Remember to leave a review! Hosts rely on great reviews to stimulate new reservations. They'll be grateful for your feedback. Alternatively, if something wasn't as described, other vacationers will appreciate that you share your experience find their best vacation rental. Please be fair with your feedback If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the owner could control the issue, and if so, whether they responded quickly to remedy it.
