The entry level game room has everybody's favorites including billiards, a TV, and handy full size refrigerator, all just a few steps from the pool area. The bedroom on this level has a TV/DVD and shared bathroom with the game room. The media room has a 75" TV with surround sound system. Arriving on the second level you will find a matched set of four master bedrooms, each with TV. The deck on this level has a bubbly hot tub, ideal for calming after a fun day at the beach.

Up one more level, the roomy great room welcomes you to appreciate your vacation in front of the TV/DVD entertainment center. The open and airy kitchen and dining room are a continuation of style and comfort of this home. The top level master suite with TV/DVD includes double vanities, a whirlpool for two and sizable shower.

About the Area

Located in Avon, this vacation home is on the waterfront. Uncle Eddy's Frozen Custard and 18-Hole Mini Golf and Buxton Woods Nature Trail are worth checking out if an activity is on the agenda, while those looking for area attractions can visit Surf's Up and Avon Fishing Pier. Hatteras Island Boardsports and Ocean Air Sports are also worth visiting. Be sure to check out the area's animals with activities such as game walks and birdwatching.

Tricks and tips to get the best vacation property experience:

Sticking to a spending budget:

  • To get the best rental within your budget, we strongly suggest booking in the Spring or Fall. You'll enjoy lower rates, greater selection, warm weather and the absence of large crowds at your favorite Hatteras restaurants and activities. Many vacationers use this strategy to reserve larger homes, or to book an oceanfront rental that would otherwise be unavailable during the Summer.
  • The earlier you can book a rental home, the better your selection will be. The most desirable properties are reserved early. Reserving your rental six - twelve months before your vacation is recommended. Winter holidays are excellent times to search for and reserve your rental.
  • Active Duty and veterans of the US Armed forces may be qualified for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property owner or host whether your family qualifies for a price reduction or discount.
  • Property managers often offer guests an option to add trip insurance. Trip insurance, which normally costs 1% - 5% of the reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for any days missed as a result of medical-related issues or weather, as well as hurricane evacuation costs, such as an unexpected hotel stay or extra fuel expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a welcome relief if the unforeseen happens. Ask your property manager for specifics.
  • Find a copy of your local Hatteras visitors guide magazine upon checking in. If your rental doesn't have one, you can find them at local shops and fuel stations. In addition to great local stories, visitors guide magazines have discounts for local restaurants, attractions, and tours.

  • To start, have your family agree to a vacation week and a max budget.
  • Decide how many beds and what type of bedroom configuration your group requires. Escape to Soundside, Avon w\/ Private Pool, Hot Tub, Media Rm, Game Rm has 6 bedrooms and 7 bathrooms.
  • Precise descriptions of bedrooms and bed counts is commonly accessible online. If they are not listed, email the property manager before you book the vacation property. Note that most property listings specify the maximum guest capacity, which oftentimes includes sofa beds in living rooms.
  • If there's an individual Hatteras attraction you love, look for rentals that are either near by, or those that cater especially to your desires.
  • Appropriate accessibility can make or break a vacation for those with limited mobility. .
  • Are you bringing the family pet? Although a number of vacation homes allow pets or animals, guidelines and costs vary per property. Allowable pet type, breed, and size are often limited. Ask your host before booking, and study your agreement! Additional pet fees or charges might be applied to your agreement.

Additional considerations:

  • We recommend storing the manager's information in your smartphone and wallet.

  • Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local! Residents can typically help you find exactly what you're looking for. Who better to ask where to rent beach equipment, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for BBQ?
  • Lock your vacation home while you're out. Protect the owner's property and your things!
  • Double-check every room of the rental property to confirm that you've packed all of your family's items at check-out. Re-check dressers, closets, and bathrooms for hidden items. Clean the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
  • Please make sure to walk through the rental one final time and keep an eye out for damages to contents or the property itself. We suggest walking through with the property manager whenever possible. If the property manager is not available, remember to take video and pictures of the rental to record its condition.
  • Did your family have a terrific vacation? Most rental managers make it easy for clients to provide feedback. If your rental and/or property manager was terrific, they always love to hear your praise. If anything was imperfect and they failed to address it reasonably, or if the vacation rental wasn't as described, you'll want to make a note as part of your comments.
