Let Woodwinds blow away all your worries! Located in soundside Kinnakeet Shores, this cavernous home offers over 3,300 square feet of extraordinary furnishings. The ground level features ample parking, a carport, a fish station, an outdoor shower, a private hot tub, a marvelous unheated pool with lounge chairs, a sundeck, and a tropical bar.

The first level has a sheltered entry, a cabana room with a wet bar and a refrigerator, a laundry room, a bathroom, and the first queen bedroom. The second level features two pretty main bedrooms, each with a private bath. Wind down in the den with surround sound and a game table. Upstairs, you'll find an broad great room with a powder room, cathedral ceilings, and vistas of the sound and a neighboring freshwater lake. Unwind on comfortable furnishings and savor music from the entertainment center, both inside and outside, on the deck. Sit comfortably while watching your favorite shows on the Roku-capable intelligent TVs throughout the home. The main floor TV also has cable, so your choices are always plentiful. An expansive main suite has a fantastic private bath and deck access. Woodwinds' superb kitchen with a breakfast bar and a close by dining area has everything you need to satisfy the chef in your event.

Guests have access to Kinnakeet Shores Pool & Tennis. You will receive an luxury pass during check-in to utilize the shared facility.
You will be required to sign an additional lease agreement upon making a booking, which will be sent to your e-mail. You will not be able to check in until we have received your signature electronically. Please contact us directly if you do not receive this agreement.

Tips and Tricks for getting the best Avon vacation home experience:

Sticking to your spending plan:

  • June, July, and August are high season in the Hatteras area. To book the best rental within budget, we strongly suggest reserving in Fall or Spring. You'll benefit from lower rental rates, greater selection, beautiful weather and the absence of giant crowds at Hatteras restaurants, tours, and activities. Many vacationers use this method to find larger homes within budget, or to reserve a beach front rental that would otherwise be unavailable or unaffordable during the Summer. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook Winter holidays for a Hatteras vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday on the coast? Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years are great times to gather with friends and family at the beach.
  • Book your vacation rental as early as possible. Rental schedules usually become available 12 months in advance (or in September just after Summer ends). Many groups reserve their Summer rentals during Winter holiday gatherings. Reserve before these holidays for best selection.
  • Active Duty and veterans of the US Armed forces may qualify for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property manager or host if your vacationing group qualifies for a price reduction or discount.
  • Management companies and individual rental owners typically offer guests an option to obtain vacation insurance. Trip insurance, which commonly costs 1% - 5% of the base reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for missed time as a result of medical-related catastrophes or weather disasters, as well as hurricane evacuation costs or charges, such as an unexpected hotel or extra gasoline expenses. Trip insurance might be a a bank account-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your property manager for more information.

  • Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local! Local residents can often help you find the best spots in town. Who better to ask where to find the best seashells, have a great night out, or the best spots for fishing?
  • Keep your rental home locked while you're out! Don't let thieves ruin your trip.
  • At departure, complete a walk-through to confirm you have not leave anything behind. Check bathrooms, dressers, and closets for hidden items. Clean the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
  • Record a video to document the condition of the property.
