If you'd prefer to have fun on the water rather than in it, book a trip at the close by fishing charter for a mellow day as you cast a line. The Avon Fishing Pier is also within walking distance for even easier fishing accessibility. Venture a bit farther in either direction to reach parks to discover.
When you come back you'll be greeted by your home's two carports, two outdoor showers (to wash off the beach sand), a basketball hoop, a Stair Tamer suitcases lift, two bicycles, a running stroller, and a variety of beach toys. A fish cleaning station is also located under the carport if you opted to go on a fishing trip earlier in the day. The home includes its own pool if you want to have fun in the water without the hassle of leaving the home. Or take a calming soak in your private six-person hot tub, then have a snack or a invigorating drink at the pool-side tropical bar with its own mini-kitchen.
Inside, the enormous great room has its own 60' TV with surround sound so you can watch your favorite shows with crisp visuals and sound. The living area sports handsome ocean vistas and high ceilings, highlighting the cavernous interior. Gather everybody in the game room and have some competitive matches on the pool table or choose to play one of a wide variety of games and puzzles while appreciating the mini-kitchen and private deck. When you get hungry, the well-equipped kitchen has its own breakfast bar and sizable refrigerator, as well as pantry storage if you decide to stock up on groceries. After indulging in a meal with one another, have some peaceful conversations together or alone time at the elevated Crow's Nest. Try the work desk where the WiFi is kept in case you feel like catching up on remote work. As the evening winds down, take your pick of six bedrooms, many of which have ocean vistas, full baths, or both. On the third level, you'll find the primary bedroom with its own private bath and oceanview deck access. All bedrooms also have their own TVs so you can lounge comfortably while viewing. Finest of all, this home includes an elevator and a ramp for step-complimentary access, so no one will ever be left out.

Strategies to get the best Hatteras vacation property experience:
Get the best rental value:
- The earlier your group can book a vacation rental, the better your selection will be. The most desirable vacation homes are reserved very early. Reserving your rental home up to twelve months before your travel dates is recommended. Winter holidays are excellent times to plan and reserve your vacation rental.
- June, July, and August are the most expensive months along the coast of NC. Reserve your Hatteras vacation home in Spring or Fall to enjoy gorgeous weather while saving money and avoiding crowds. Many vacationers use this method to find larger homes within budget, or to reserve a beach front vacation rental that would otherwise be unaffordable during the Summer.
- Some owners offer discounts or promotional rates for active duty military and veterans. Make sure to check with your property manager to see if special discounts are available for your family before you book.
- Property managers frequently offer guests an option to purchase trip insurance protection. Trip insurance, which will generally cost anywhere between 1% - 5% of the stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for any missed time as a result of medical-related issues or weather disasters, as well as hurricane evacuation costs, such as an unexpected hotel stay or additional fuel expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a bank account-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask your property manager for program terms and fees.
- Look for your local Hatteras area magazine when you check-in. If your rental property doesn't have one, you can find them at local shops and visitor centers. In addition to great local stories, visitor guides have coupons for local tours, shops, and attractions.
Filter your search:
- Select a group leader, choose your dates, and select a maximum budget.
- Note the number bedrooms and the bed configuration your group requires. Ocean-view house with pool, hot tub, game room, balcony, deck, & beach access has 6 bedrooms and 6 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our rentals search.
- Specific descriptions of bedrooms and bed types is regularly available online. If you don't see them listed, email the property manager before booking your rental. Note that most listings specify the max. guest capacity, which typically includes sofa beds and bunks. You will need to determine what configuration is optimal for your vacation family.
- Are you traveling with furry, four-legged family members? Many vacation homes allow animals, but guidelines and restrictions apply. Allowable pet type, breed, and size are often limited. Ask your host before booking, and study your agreement thoroughly! Additional pet fees or costs applied to your contract.
- Are you visiting for a specific attraction? Try a map search to locate nearby rentals.
- Suitable accessibility amenities can make or break a vacation for guests that require the use of a wheelchair. Make certain to inquire about specialized equipment and wheel chair accessibility.
More considerations:
- Take a copy of the owner's contact number and entry/exit procedures for your rental property.
- Ask questions. You may need instructions for a fireplace, A/V setup or kitchen appliance. Contact your owner. They are there to help! A brief text message can prevent quite a few issues.
- Protect the rental owner (and your things!) by keeping the rental locked up when you are gone, just like you would back home.
- To ensure that damages aren't linked to your stay, make note of any problem areas during arrival. Speak to the host immediately to document any damages. If there is a dispute about legal responsibility later, having the recorded issues and contact attempts will be useful.
- Be respectful. Often, nearby homes are filled by permanent residents. Respecting quiet hours and parking policies reduces conflict and allows everyone to enjoy their day.
- Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local! Residents can typically help. Who better to ask where to get the best breakfast in town, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for BBQ?
- Double-check every room of the vacation property to make sure that you've packed everything on check-out day. Make sure to check dressers, closets, and bathrooms for hidden items. Clean out the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
- Document the condition of the property at check-out. We recommend taking a video during your final walk-through.
- Did you have a fantastic stay? Most rental management companies make it easy for guests to provide feedback. If your rental property and/or property management company was great, they would love to hear it. If anything was wrong and they failed to address it within reason, or if the vacation rental wasn't as described, you'll want to make it a point as part of your feedback.
