When to visit Avon & When to reserve a rental home:

• June, July, and August are the most expensive months in coastal NC. To get the largest vacation home within budget, we recommend reserving in the Fall or Spring. You'll enjoy lower rental rates, better selection, warm weather and the absence of giant crowds at your favorite Hatteras restaurants and activities. Many vacationers use this method to find larger homes within budget, or to reserve an oceanfront rental that would otherwise be unavailable during the Summer months. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook the holidays for a Hatteras vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday near the ocean? Thanksgiving and Christmas are great times to gather with friends and family at the beach.
• In the Hatteras area, The sooner your group can book a rental home, the easier your search will be. The most desirable vacation homes are reserved very early. Reserving your rental property six - twelve months before your vacation dates is recommended. Winter holidays are excellent times to search for and reserve your vacation rental.
• Owners sometimes offer rate reductions for veterans. Ask your property manager if discounts are available for your group before you book.
• Booking websites usually offer customers an option to add trip insurance protection.
