Outside you will find a picnic table and chairs. Below there is a gas grille and outside shower. We also offer 2 kayaks to use at your leisure. Appreciate your stay!
**We do welcome you and your family pets. We do have some home rules specific to dogs. Dogs MUST be home trained and kept within the property and/or on a leash at all times. If dogs go to the beach we ask they be hosed off and dryed prior to being let in the home as to cut down on sand inside. You must clean up (waste) behind your dog outside. Please keep dogs out of beds.**

How to get the best rental experience:
Cost saving strategies:
- In the Hatteras area, The sooner your group can reserve a vacation home, the easier your search will be. The most desirable rental homes are booked very early. Reserving your vacation rental up to twelve months before your vacation dates is recommended. Holiday gatherings are excellent times to search for and book your rental home.
- Summertime is high season in the Hatteras area. To get the largest rental home within your budget, we recommend reserving in Fall or Spring months. You'll benefit from lower rates, better selection, beautiful weather and the absence of giant crowds at local restaurants, tours, and activities. Many vacationers use this strategy to reserve larger homes, or to reserve a beach front vacation rental that would otherwise be unavailable during the Summer. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook the holidays for a Hatteras vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday vacation on the coast? Thanksgiving and Christmas are great times to gather with loved ones at the beach.
- Owners sometimes offer discounts or promotional rates for veterans. Check with your host or property manager to see if special offers are available for your group.
- Property management companies often offer guests an option to obtain trip insurance protection. Trip insurance, which generally costs 1% - 5% of the base stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for days missed as a result of personal medical-related emergencies or weather disasters, as well as ensuing additional evacuation charges, such as an unanticipated hotel overnight or additional fuel expenses. Trip insurance might be a a life-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask the property owner for details.
- Look for your local Hatteras visitors guide when you check-in. If your rental property doesn't have a copy, you can find them at local grocery stores and visitor centers. In addition to great local stories, travel guide magazines contain money saving offers on nearby accommodations, restaurants and tours.
Selecting the best rental:
- Choose a group leader, select your dates, and select a max budget.
- Determine how many bedrooms and what type of bedroom configuration you need. Canal Front House - Hatteras- New Listing- Pet Friendly\nWith Amazing Views! has 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms.
- Specific information about bedrooms and bed sizes & counts is commonly accessible online. If not, email the property owner before you reserve the property. Remember that most property listings specify maximum guest capacity, which typically includes sofa beds and bunks. You'll need to establish which bed configuration is right for your group.
- Some properties allow pets, but others don't. Allowable types of dog or cat, weight and breeds may be restricted, and added costs may apply. Ask the property management company about pets before booking.
- If there's a certain Hatteras destination you crave, keep an eye out for properties that are either close by, or those that cater to your needs.
- Suitable accessibility can make or break a vacation for persons with a disability. Confirm all required amenities are available and included before reserving a rental.
More considerations for your visit:
- Add the property manager's phone number to your phone. Understand and take a copy of arrival/departure procedures.
- Hosts are great sources of help! Feel free to ask questions during your stay.
- Ensure you protect the rental owner (and your things!) by locking the rental when you are away, just like you would at home.
- To make sure damages aren't attributed to your stay, inspect for any problem areas upon check in. Speak to the rental manager right away to report any damages. If there is a dispute about legal responsibility later, having the recorded issues and contact attempts will be useful.
- Respecting late-night quiet hours and parking rules can make a stay more pleasurable. You'll enhance your chance to make local friends, and resident neighbors can be an incredible resource to find the best local beaches and hangouts.
- Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local! Local residents can often help you find exactly what you're looking for. Who better to ask where to get the best breakfast in town, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for BBQ?
- Double-check the property to confirm that you've packed all of your belongings at departure. Remember to check closets, dressers, garages, and bathrooms for hidden belongings. Clean out the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
- Document the condition of the property at check-out. We recommend taking a video during your final walk-through.
- Did your family have a fantastic vacation? Most rental home management companies make it easy for travelers to provide feedback. If your property and/or property management company was fantastic, they would love to hear about it. If anything was wrong and they failed to address it in a reasonable manner, or if the vacation rental wasn't as described, you'll want to make it a point as part of your comments.
