SOUNDSIDE Avon – Kinnakeet Shores – Located in the desired Kinnakeet Shores community, SECRET SPOT is sure to become your new lakefront spot on Hatteras Island. With vistas of the island and lake from wrap around decking, and screened porch, you’re sure to find hidden parts of island life. The great room of the home is cast in all natural light from the huge sliding glass doors to the outside deck. Unwind in the comfortable seating, stream your favorite show, and savor being in impressive Hatteras Island. Ample seating can be found on the top level of the home, from the six-person dining table to the three-person breakfast bar. Gather everybody together for a meal made in the well-equipped kitchen with stainless steel appliances. A half bath is located on this floor for your convenience. When the day turns to nighttime, catch the sunset from the screen porch with lighting and seating for six or relax in the bubbly hot tub. Then pull out a board game from the pantry and play the nighttime away together.

On the bottom level, choose between three bedrooms for your ideal nighttime’s sleep. One master bedroom with a king size bed and attached private bath, the last two bedrooms share a hall bath, one queen bedroom and the last with a twin-over-twin bunk bed and a single bed. When to visit Avon & When to book:

  • The sooner you can book a rental home, the easier your search will be. The best vacation homes are reserved very early. Reserving your vacation rental six to twelve months before your travel dates is recommended. Winter holidays are excellent times to plan and reserve your vacation home.
  • Summer months are the most expensive season in the Hatteras area. To get the best value, try changing your vacation dates to the Spring or Fall shoulder seasons. May, September, and October offer great temperatures, , and greatly reduced traffic. Many vacationers use this strategy to reserve larger homes, or to reserve an oceanfront vacation rental that would otherwise be unavailable during the Summer. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook the holidays for a Hatteras vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday near the ocean? Thanksgiving and Christmas are great times to gather with loved ones at the beach.
  • Hosts and Property managers sometimes offer special rates for veterans and active duty military. Remember to ask your host or property manager if special offers are available for your family before you book.
  • Booking websites frequently offer renters an option to add trip insurance protection.
