Sitting just one block from the oceanfront, this is a ideal family home, offering simple beach access and sunrise to sunset vistas from a huge deck.

Away from the bustle of upstairs, you can appreciate an entire floor to yourself. How to find the best rental home experience:
How to get the best rental value:
- Book your vacation rental as early as possible. Rental schedules often become available a year in advance (or in September just after Summertime ends). Many groups book their Summer vacations during holiday gatherings. Reserve before these holidays for best selection.
- To find the best value, try shifting your group's vacation to the Spring or Fall shoulder seasons. May, September, and even October offer warm weather, less crowded beaches, and reduced traffic. Many vacationers use this method to find larger homes within budget, or to book an oceanfront vacation rental that would otherwise be unavailable or unaffordable during the high season.
- Some property management companies offer discounts for veterans and active duty military. Remember to ask your host or property manager if special offers are available for your group.
- Management companies and individual rental owners usually offer their guests an option to purchase trip insurance. Trip insurance, which generally will cost between 1% - 5% of the base stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for missed vacation time as a result of personal medical-related issues or weather disasters, as well as evacuation costs or charges, such as an unexpected hotel or additional gasoline expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a life-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask the property owner for additional information.
- Find a copy of your local Hatteras visitors guide when you check-in. If your rental doesn't have one, you can find them at local grocery stores, shopping centers, and visitor centers. In addition to great local articles, visitor guide magazines contain offers and deals for local accommodations, tours and attractions.
Make a plan and choose the best Hatteras rental:
- Start by selecting potential vacation weeks and a spending budget.
- Decide how many beds and what type of bedroom configuration your family needs. Semi-Oceanfront, Dog Friendly Home in Waves with Community Beach Access Nearby has 5 bedrooms and 4 bathrooms.
- Precise descriptions of bedrooms and bed sizes & counts is often available on booking websites. If not, call the property owner before you reserve the rental. Remember that most listings specify the maximum guest capacity, which usually includes pull-out couches and bunk beds. You will need to work out which bed configuration is right for your family.
- If your group is bringing pets, you'll need to search for a pet-friendly property. Request information on breed, size, and type restrictions. Be aware that some property owners charge pet deposits and fees.
- Visiting for a single attraction or event? If so, use a map search to browse nearby rentals.
- Appropriate accessibility amenities can make or ruin a vacation for guests that require the use of a wheelchair. Remember to confirm all required amenities are available before reserving a rental
Advice for your stay:
- Add the owner's contact information to your smartphone. Take a copy of check in/check out procedures.
- Ask questions. You may need instructions for a hot tub, A/V setup or appliance. Contact your property manager. They are there to help! A brief telephone call prevents a lot of issues.
- Keep your rental home locked while you're out! Don't let thieves spoil your trip.
- Document any issues with the property during check in, and immediately send them to the property manager. We specifically recommend e-mails and text messages, as they usually contain time stamps that are useful if a dispute is filed.
- Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like unpleasant visitors bothering your peaceful home. Employ the golden rule for best judgement. Happy residents may even recommend great beaches and attractions you would've not otherwise known about!
- Don't forget to... Ask a local! Local residents can frequently help you find the best spots in town. Who better to ask where to order delicious takeout, have a great night out, or the best spots for fishing?
- Double-check the property to confirm that you've packed all personal items at check-out. Re-check bathrooms, garages, and back yards for hidden belongings. Clean the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
- Inspect the rental one final time and keep an eye out for damages to contents or the property itself. We advise walking through with the property manager whenever you can. If the host is not available, remember to take photos of the property to record its condition at check-out.
- After your trip, leave a review! Hosts rely on good ratings to stimulate future bookings. They'll be grateful for your review. Alternatively, if something went wrong, other vacationers will be thankful you shared your feedback and help them have the best future vacation. Please be fair with your feedback If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the owner had any control over the issue, and if so, whether they responded reasonably to solve it.
