  • Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local! Residents can typically help you find the best spots in town. Who better to ask where to find the fresh catch of the day, have a great night out, or the best spots for fishing?
  • Ensure you protect the owner (and your things!) by locking the property when you are out, just like you would at home.
  • On check-out day, take a final walk-through to confirm you have not leave anything behind. Remember to check garages, decks, and cabinets for hidden items. Clean the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
  • Go through the property a final time and keep an eye out for damage. We suggest walking through with the property manager whenever you can (often this isn't possible). If the manager is not available, ensure that you take photos of the property to record its condition.

If your rental property and/or property manager was terrific, they will likely appreciate your kind words.
