Adorable “beach box” home located only 2 building tons from the fantastic Salvo beach and close to Pamlico Sound. Sleeps eight with 2 bedrooms having queen beds, one having 2 twin beds and a Pirate-themed bunk bedroom for the little ones. Additionally there is a queen sleeper couch in the Living Room for overflow sleeping. A handsome, enclosed front porch offers additional year-round living space. Fun and comfortable outdoor living with two sizable side decks and a fabulous ‘crows nest’ deck with a modest strip of ocean view - ideal for appreciating those exceptional Hatteras Island sunrises & sunsets! New for 2024, all 3 decks have been improved with new railings, floorboards and constructed-in benches, plus some new TREX complimentary-standing furnishings. Grand concrete private driveway and area beneath home with picnic table for additional outdoor entertainment. Lighted fish cleaning station with close by hose.

Other amenities include: 2 Flat screen TVs with Rokus and Spectrum app with local channels, many general channels & 15 ‘cable’ channels including sport channels, HGTV, Discovery, etc, 500-mbps internet, stackable washer/dryer, park-style grille, outdoor shower, and a well-equipped kitchen which includes a dishwasher, new dishes and knives, both Keurig & pot-style coffee makers, 2 blenders, toaster & hand mixer.

Non-smoking (inside home, on porches & decks). Smoking is allowed on concrete area beneath home where picnic table with ashtray is located.

Dog-friendly home for up to 2 dogs (additional $150/week pet fee applies). New 330 sq foot dog run area accessible from side deck door without you going out in bad weather! Fence is wooden, cattle-style and 5 ft high…very sturdy. The fenced area is partly covered & partly uncovered for your dogs comfort in any weather.

Bedspreads, bed covers, pillows (of various types and firmness), pillow covers and dish cloths ARE supplied. Bed sheets & bath towels are NOT supplied but they can be rented (supplier information will be included by host upon booking).

Beach accessories such as chairs, umbrellas, body boards and cruiser bicycles are not supplied, but can be rented at many locations in the area. Host can provide close by providers, if needed.

Even though check-in time is listed as 4:00, in reality the cleaners are normally done (and home available) by 1:00 or 2:00 (however it isn't guaranteed until 6:00 so I split it down the middle). They will post a note on door when it is ready. If you arrive earlier, you can change in the outdoor shower and go to the beach or sound until its ready.

About the Area

Located in Salvo, this vacation home is near the beach. The area's natural beauty can be seen at Outer Banks Beaches and Cape Hatteras National Seashore. How to get the best rental home value:

  • The sooner your group can book a rental home, the better your selection will be. The most desirable rental properties are reserved early. Booking your vacation home up to twelve months before your vacation dates is recommended. Winter holidays are excellent times to plan and reserve your rental.
  • Reserve your Hatteras vacation home in Fall or Spring months to get the benefit of warm weather while saving money and avoiding crowds. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook the holidays for a Hatteras vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday vacation on the coast? Thanksgiving and Christmas are great times to gather with family and friends at your favorite beach.
  • Active Duty and veterans of the US Armed forces may qualify for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property owner or host whether your family qualifies for a special promotion or discount.
  • Property managers often offer renters an option to purchase vacation insurance. Trip insurance, which commonly will cost anywhere between 1% - 5% of the base reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for any missed trip time as a result of medical-related emergencies or weather disasters, as well as ensuing additional evacuation costs or charges, such as an unexpected hotel stay or additional fuel expenses.   • Double-check the vacation property to make sure that you've packed all personal items on check-out day. Check bathrooms, garages, and back yards for hidden belongings. Clean out the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
  • Walk through the property one final time and scan for damage. We recommend walking through with the host whenever possible. If the host isn't available, remember to take video of the rental to record its condition.
  • Did you have a terrific time? Most rental managers make it easy for travelers to provide feedback. If your rental property and/or property manager was fantastic, they would love to hear it. If anything was inoperable and they failed to correct it in a reasonable manner, or if the vacation rental wasn't as described, you'll want to make a note as part of your review.
