SEMI-OCEANFRONT Avon - Kinnakeet Shores - Escape into luxury and simple-living when you stay at handsome BALI WIND. Your family will savor the personal touches found throughout the home including the island-themed bedrooms. The home is only a short walk from the Avon Fishing Pier and is just across NC 12 from the Food Lion shopping center. But more importantly, beach access is just across the street. An all-weather entry leads to the first level queen "waves theme" master bedroom with private bath, or step out back and escape into the shining private pool enclosed by a 7 ft. privacy fence. The second level of the home has four bedrooms; the king "palms theme" master bedroom with TV, the queen "sun theme" master bedroom with TV, and two bedrooms that share a hall bath (2 singles "wind theme" and pyramid bunk "surf theme"). All four bedrooms on this level access the shaded oceanside deck and the convenient laundry area. On the top level is a second king master suite, also with TV and access to the top level sun deck. The bright great room welcomes you with vaulted ceilings, many windows, and sliders to the huge furnished oceanside sundeck with pretty ocean view. Plenty of entertainment can be found in the great room complete with 51" HDTV and DVD player. The kitchen with stainless steel appliances and breakfast bar is ideally equipped for food preparation and cooking and is only steps away from the gourmet 2-burner gas grille just out on the deck. Decorated for appeal, style, and comfort, this BALI WIND is the only destination for your family this year. (Fireplace seen in photos is not for guest use.)

*Please note that this property has a pool that can be heated for $600. Pool heaters, when pool heat is purchased, are set to 80 degrees, but pool temperature cannot be guaranteed.

Dogs are welcome for a fee of $200/dog/week.
If you are bringing a dog on your trip, the $200 weekly fee will apply for each dog and will be added once your reservation is finalized.

Vacation Rental Protection Plan: This required non-returnable $95 plan covers accidental damage within the home with a coverage limit of $3,000. It does not cover theft or willful misconduct. You must notify Surf or Sound Realty of any damage that occurs during your occupancy or this coverage will be void. Coverage is effective at time of check-in and ends at time of check-out.

Sticking to your rental budget:

  • Book your rental as early as possible. Rental schedules generally become available a year in advance (or in September just after the Summer season ends). Many families reserve their Summer vacation rentals during Winter holiday get-togethers. Reserve before these holidays for best selection.
  • Booking a rental in Spring or Fall is a great way to save on your rental home. Rental rates are lower, and you'll find a larger selection of suitable homes. Many vacationers use this strategy to find larger homes within budget, or to book a beach front rental that would otherwise be unaffordable during June, July, and August.
  • Veterans and Active Duty Military members may qualify for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property manager or host if your vacationing group qualifies for a price reduction or discount.
  • Property managers frequently offer customers an option to buy vacation insurance protection. Trip insurance, which usually will cost you between 1% - 5% of the base reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for missed time as a result of personal medical-related emergencies or weather, as well as evacuation costs or charges, such as an unexpected hotel stay or additional gasoline expenses. Trip insurance can be a a bank account-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask the property owner for specifics.

  • Make a record of any issues with the property during check in, and immediately contact the property manager. We specifically recommend texts and e-mails, as they usually contain time stamps that can be helpful if a dispute is filed.
  • Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like disrespectful vacationers bothering your peace and quiet. Use the golden rule for best judgement. If they like you, locals might even recommend great restaurants and scenic spots you would have never otherwise known about!
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local resident! Local residents can typically help. Who better to ask where to enjoy a steak with a view, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for shopping?
  • Re-check the property to make sure that you've packed everything at departure. Check dressers, closets, and bathrooms for hidden treasure. Clean the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
  • Document the condition of the property at check-out. We recommend taking a video during your final walk-through.
  • After your trip, leave a review! Property managers rely on great ratings to compel new reservations. They'll be grateful for your feedback. Alternatively, if something went awry, other vacationers will appreciate that you share your review find their best vacation rental. Remember to be objective. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the owner could control the issue, and if so, whether they responded quickly to remedy it.
