Planning and choosing a perfectrental home:
- Begin by selecting vacation dates and a max budget.
- Determine how many bedrooms and the bed configuration your family needs. Oceanside home in Rodanthe with Ocean Views & Hot Tub has 4 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms.
- Precise descriptions of bedrooms and bed counts & types is normally available online. Otherwise, email the property manager before booking the rental. Note that most property listings specify the maximum guest capacity, which oftentimes includes pull out couches in living rooms. You'll need to work out what is suitable for your trip.
- If your family is traveling with pets, you'll need to search for a property that allows animals. Request information on breed, weight, and type restrictions. Some hosts charge pet deposits and fees.
- Are you visiting for a single event? Try a map search to locate nearby rentals.
- Suitable accessibility amenities can make or ruin a vacation for the less-mobile. Confirm all required amenities are available before booking.
More tips for your stay:
- Get the property manager's phone number and arrival/departure procedures for your . Put the manager's contact information in your smartphone.
- Ask questions. You may want instructions for a fireplace, elevator or appliance. Contact your host. They are there to help! A brief phone call prevents a lot of concerns.
- Lock your rental property while you are out! Don't let burglars spoil your vacation.
- To make sure no damages are linked to your stay, make note of any problem areas upon check in. message the property manager right away to relay any pre-existing damages. If there is a dispute, having a record of concerns and contact attempts will be helpful.
- Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like disrespectful vacationers disrupting your life at home. Practice the golden rule for best judgement. Happy residents may even recommend great restaurants and places you would have not otherwise known!
- Don't forget to... Ask a local resident! Locals can frequently help you find exactly what you're looking for. Who better to ask where to find the best seashells, have a great night out, or the best spots for fishing?
- Double-check the rental property to confirm that you've packed all belongings at check-out. Remember to check garages, decks, and cabinets for hidden items. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
- Inspect the property a final time and scan for any damage. We advise inspecting the property with the host whenever possible. If the property manager is not available, remember to take photos and video of the rental to record its condition.
- Did your group have a terrific stay? Many vacation rental websites make it easy for guests to provide comments. If your rental and/or property manager was terrific, they would love to hear it. If anything was wrong and they failed to fix it within reason, or if the vacation rental wasn't as described, you'll want to make a note as part of your feedback.
