All of the home’s bedrooms are located on the first level. When to book & When to go:
- Summer is the most expensive season in Avon. Booking your Hatteras vacation rental in the Spring or Fall is an excellent way to save money on your vacation rental. Rates are lower, and you'll find a larger selection of desirable properties.
- Reserve your vacation rental as soon as possible. Rental schedules often become available 12 months in advance (or in September just after Summer ends). Many groups book their Summer vacation rentals during Thanksgiving and Christmas get-togethers. Reserve before these holidays for best selection.
- Active Duty and veterans of the US Armed forces may be qualified for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property manager whether your group qualifies for a reduced rate.
- Property managers typically offer customers an option to purchase vacation insurance. Trip insurance, which normally costs anywhere between 1% - 5% of the reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for missed vacation time as a result of medical-related catastrophes or weather disasters, as well as ensuing additional hurricane evacuation costs, such as an unexpected hotel stay or extra gas expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a life-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask your host for additional information.
- Find a copy of your local Hatteras visitors guide when you arrive at the rental property. If your rental doesn't have a copy, you can find them at local shops and visitor centers. In addition to great information, travel guides have coupons for nearby tours, shops, and attractions.

- Walk through the property one final time and keep an eye out for damages to contents or the property itself. We suggest walking through with the property manager whenever you can (often this isn't possible). If the manager is not available, take photos and video of the rental to record its condition at check-out.
- Did your group have a terrific vacation? Most vacation rental websites make it easy for travelers to provide comments. If your rental and/or property management company was fantastic, they always love to hear your praise.
