OCEANFRONT Avon- Gull's Cry Rd. Located on a peaceful cul-de-sac in Avon, this home with direct beach access offers some of the best ocean vistas to be found. The first level has four bedrooms with oceanfront deck off two bedrooms, two baths, and washer/dryer laundry area. This deck offers constructed-in seating by the enormous 6-person hot tub with EZ-lift cover and a waterfall. The upstairs has a convenient half bath and an abundance of windows and juniper wood walls creating a light, warm ambiance. The well-equipped kitchen is supplemented by a breakfast bar that opens into a dining area with two huge dining tables and striking ocean vistas. The cavernous great room with wooded cathedral ceiling is the ideal place to entertain or just relax. The great room opens to a wide, furnished oceanfront deck and spectacular ocean vistas. The extended top deck has constructed-in seating for watching the gorgeous Hatteras Island sunset. Ceiling fans, carport under home, outdoor shower, grille, fish cleaning table, plenty of parking, short distance to shopping, grocery store, spa, bicycle units and coffee shop. Private community pool and tennis round out the benefits of this home.

  • Reserve your vacation rental as early as possible. Rental schedules usually open twelve months in advance (or in September just after Summertime ends). Many families reserve their Summer rentals during Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years Eve get-togethers. Reserve before these holidays for best selection.

Trip insurance can be a a welcome relief if the unforeseen happens. Ask your property manager for additional information.

  • Be respectful. Often, surrounding homes are occupied by permanent residents. Respecting noise limits and parking rules reduces conflict and allows everyone to enjoy their day.
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local resident! Neighbors can frequently help you find the best spots in town. Who better to ask where to enjoy a steak with a view, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for shopping?
  • Upon check-out, complete a walk-through to make sure you didn't forget anything. Make sure to check bathrooms, dressers, and closets for hidden belongings. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Go through the rental one final time and scan for any damage. We suggest walking through with the host whenever you can (often this isn't possible). If the manager is not available, remember to take video and pictures of the rental to record its condition.
  • Did you have a wonderful time? Many rental managers make it easy for vacationers to provide comments. If your rental property and/or property management company was terrific, they would love to hear about it. If anything was inoperable and they failed to address it reasonably, or if the vacation rental wasn't as described, you'll want to make a note as part of your comments.
