Brew a cup of coffee in the generously equipped kitchen and venture out onto the furnished balcony where the vistas from Hatteras Inlet to the point in Buxton just might provide some inspiration. All of the bedrooms feature TVs, as does the living area, which also offers a full view of the ocean. There’s an eat-at counter and an oceanview dining table with seating for up to eight for those family meals that somehow taste that much better when you are on vacation. A stacked washer and dryer is conveniently located in this unit.

About the Area

Located in Hatteras, this condo is on the beach. Graveyard of the Atlantic Museum and Frisco Native American Museum are cultural highlights, and some of the area's attractions include Frisco Mini Golf and Go Karts and Buxton Seafood. Uncle Eddy's Frozen Custard and 18-Hole Mini Golf and Ocracoke Pony Pens are also worth visiting. Be sure to check out the area's animals with activities such as game walks and birdwatching.

Rates are lower, and you'll find a better selection of acceptable properties. • Book your vacation home as soon as possible. Rental schedules usually become available 12 months in advance (or in September just after the Summer season ends). • Hosts and Property managers sometimes offer discounts or promotional rates for veterans. Remember to ask your property manager if discounts are available for your group.
• Management companies and individual rental owners usually offer guests an option to buy vacation insurance protection. Trip insurance, which generally costs anywhere between 1% - 5% of the base stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for any missed time as a result of personal medical-related issues or weather, as well as evacuation costs, such as an unexpected hotel stay or extra gas expenses. • Re-check every room of the property to confirm that you've packed everything at departure. Check bathrooms, garages, and back yards for hidden belongings. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
• Inspect the rental a final time and scan for any damage. We advise walking through with the property manager whenever you can. If the property manager isn't available, take photographs of the rental to record its condition.
• Did your family have a wonderful time? Most rental home management companies make it easy for vacationers to provide reviews. If your rental property and/or host was terrific, they always love to hear your praise.
