Making Memories is centrally located on the first floor and conveniently located next to the coin-operated laundry facility (which even offers an ocean view). The Durant Station Condominiums offer spectacular ocean vistas from every property. All condos have private, 28-foot oceanfront decks, as well as sound side decks for viewing colorful sunsets. Elevator service to all levels makes Durant Station a most convenient choice for all ages: no need to haul bags and groceries up long flights of stairs! Guests are just a few short steps to the ocean via a private wooden walkway. The Hatteras area offers some of the best fishing and sunbathing on the East Coast.

At Durant Station, you'll appreciate a host of amenities including one of Hatteras Islands' biggest private pools with an adjacent hot tub available from April 1 to January 1. The Durant Station Community Center is 'crowned' by the original historic Durant Lifesaving Station tower, a rich piece of Hatteras Islands past. You'll find the Community Center ideal for calming with friends, conducting meetings, wedding events, and receptions, or simply appreciating the lounge areas, which offer a 50' plasma TV, pool table, gas fireplace, and a complete kitchen on the upper level. The Durant Station Complex consists of three floors, which start about 12 feet above the ground. The parking lot and walks are paved with concrete. All retreats are charmingly furnished and completely equipped with linens to make your stay comfortable as well as memorable.

This home has access to a community pool, the community pools in our area are typically open from Memorial Day to Labor Day. Community pools are operated at the discretion of the community HOA so the availability schedule may be subject to change without notice.

If you are bringing a dog on your trip, the pet fee is already included in your quote when selecting ‘Yes’ to family pets. If you would like to add more dogs, please contact us. The pet fee is per stay and ranges between $150 and $200, depending on the bedroom count, and will apply for each additional dog.

About the Area

Located in Hatteras, this vacation home is on the beach. The area's natural beauty can be seen at Outer Banks Beaches and Buxton Woods Coastal Preserve, while Graveyard of the Atlantic Museum and Frisco Native American Museum are cultural highlights. Frisco Mini Golf and Go Karts and Buxton Seafood are also worth visiting. Be sure to check out the area's animals with activities such as game walks and birdwatching.

  • The sooner your group can reserve a vacation home, the better your selection will be. The best rental homes are reserved early. Reserving your rental property up to 12 months before your vacation dates is recommended. Winter holidays are excellent times to plan and book your rental.
  • Property management companies sometimes offer discounts or promotional rates for veterans. Ask your property manager if discounts are available for your family before you book.
  • Booking websites frequently offer customers an option to buy vacation insurance protection.
