Making Memories is centrally located on the first floor and conveniently located next to the coin-operated laundry facility (which even offers an ocean view). The Durant Station Condominiums offer spectacular ocean vistas from every property. All condos have private, 28-foot oceanfront decks, as well as sound side decks for viewing colorful sunsets. Elevator service to all levels makes Durant Station a most convenient choice for all ages: no need to haul bags and groceries up long flights of stairs! Guests are just a few short steps to the ocean via a private wooden walkway. The Hatteras area offers some of the best fishing and sunbathing on the East Coast.

At Durant Station, you'll savor a host of amenities including one of Hatteras Islands' biggest private pools with an adjacent hot tub available from April 1 to January 1. The Durant Station Community Center is 'crowned' by the original historic Durant Lifesaving Station tower, a rich piece of Hatteras Islands past. You'll find the Community Center ideal for calming with friends, conducting meetings, wedding events, and receptions, or simply appreciating the lounge areas, which offer a 50' plasma TV, pool table, gas fireplace, and a complete kitchen on the upper level. The Durant Station Complex consists of three floors, which start about 12 feet above the ground. The parking lot and walks are paved with concrete. All retreats are attractively furnished and completely equipped with linens to make your stay comfortable as well as memorable.

This home has access to a community pool, the community pools in our area are typically open from Memorial Day to Labor Day. Community pools are operated at the discretion of the community HOA so the availability schedule may be subject to change without notice.

If you are bringing a dog on your trip, the pet fee is already supplied in your quote when selecting ‘Yes’ to family pets. If you would like to add more dogs, please contact us. The pet fee is per stay and ranges between $150 and $200, depending on the bedroom count, and will apply for each additional dog.

About the Area

Located in Hatteras, this vacation home is on the beach. The area's natural beauty can be seen at Buxton Woods Coastal Preserve and Outer Banks Beaches, while Graveyard of the Atlantic Museum and Frisco Native American Museum are cultural highlights. Frisco Mini Golf and Go Karts and Buxton Seafood are also worth visiting. Be sure to check out the area's animals with activities such as game walks and birdwatching.

  • Active Duty and veterans of the US Armed forces may qualify for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective vacation rental company or host whether your vacationing group qualifies for a price reduction.
  • Booking websites typically offer renters an option to purchase vacation insurance protection. Trip insurance, which normally will cost anywhere between 1% - 5% of the stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for missed time as a result of personal medical-related catastrophes or weather disasters, as well as evacuation costs, such as an unexpected hotel overnight or extra gas expenses.   • Re-check the rental property to make sure that you've packed all of your family's items at check-out. Check closets, dressers, garages, and bathrooms for hidden items. Clean out the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
