The Durant Station Condominiums offer spectacular ocean vistas, and you'll have a private oceanfront deck and a sound-side deck for viewing colorful sunsets. Elevator service to all levels makes Durant Station a most convenient choice for all ages: no need to haul suitcases and groceries up long flights of stairs! You'll be just a few short steps to the ocean via a private wooden walkway. The Hatteras area offers some of the best fishing and sunbathing on the East Coast.

Savor a host of amenities, including one of Hatteras Islands' biggest private pools with an adjacent hot tub available from April 1 through January 2. The Durant Station Community Center is crowned by the original historic Durant Lifesaving Station tower, a rich piece of Hatteras Island's past. The Community Center is ideal for calming with friends, conducting meetings, wedding events, and receptions, or simply appreciating the lounge areas, which offer a huge-screen 50-inch plasma TV and a complete kitchen on the upper level. The Durant Station complex consists of three floors, which start about 12 feet above the ground.

This hideaway is elegantly furnished and entirely equipped with linens to make your stay comfortable and memorable. All new appliances were added at the end of 2022, along with fresh carpet in the bedrooms. Additional conveniences include central air-conditioning, cable TV with HBO, satellite HDTV with DVR, wireless high-speed Internet for your laptop, solid surface counters in the kitchen, and sprinkler safety systems for your tranquility of mind. This second-floor home away from home provides a stackable washer/dryer.

A sizable separate fish cleaning station, BBQ grilles, and outdoor shower facilities complete the picture. The Durant Station Condominiums are located in Hatteras Village, oceanfront on Highway 12. Appreciate being beachfront and near local eateries and stores.

This home has access to a community pool, the community pools in our area are typically open from Memorial Day to Labor Day. Community pools are operated at the discretion of the community HOA so the availability schedule may be subject to change without notice.

• To book the most suitable rental home within your budget, we highly recommend reserving in the Fall or Spring shoulder seasons. You'll benefit from lower rental rates, greater selection, beautiful weather and the absence of giant crowds at your favorite restaurants and activities. Many vacationers use this method to reserve larger homes, or to reserve an oceanfront vacation rental that would otherwise be unavailable or unaffordable during the high season.
• Book your vacation rental as early as possible. Rental schedules usually open a year in advance (or in September just after the Summer season ends). Many groups reserve their Summer rental homes during holiday get-togethers. Reserve before these holidays for best selection.
