SEMI-OCEANFRONT Hatteras Village- Lighthouse Rd. COAST ON INN to this charmingly decorated home, only five mins. from Hatteras Landing fishing, shopping and dining. One lot back from oceanfront in Captain's Beach subdivision, guests are treated to a view of the ocean from front and side decks, and view of marshes and sound from rear decks. The double concrete carport leads to the first level dry entry entry and a master bedroom with two single beds and private bath. The second level has a huge den with 55" LCD home theater system and wet bar with full size refrigerator, an oceanview queen master bedroom with private deck, and two other queen bedrooms with connecting bath and private balconies. The third level features a great room with cathedral ceilings and half bath, king master bedroom with private balcony and full bath with Jacuzzi. The kitchen opens to a enormous porch with ocean vistas. The great room with a second 55" LCD home theater system opens to a wide sundeck with pretty ocean view.

New for 2023: Great room TV upgraded to 77" Intelligent TV. Wifi upgraded to 5G mesh (may vary based on number of users/devices).

About the Area

Located in Hatteras, this vacation home is near the beach. Graveyard of the Atlantic Museum and Frisco Native American Museum are cultural highlights, and some of the area's activities can be experienced at Village Marina and Hatteras Harbor Marina. Frisco Mini Golf and Go Karts and Buxton Seafood are also worth visiting. Be sure to check out the area's animals with activities such as game walks and birdwatching.

Get the most from your rental home budget:

  • June, July, and August are the most expensive months in Hatteras. Reserving a rental home in the Spring or Fall is one of our best tips for saving money on your vacation home. Rates are lower, and you'll find a larger selection of suitable properties. Many vacationers use this strategy to find larger homes within budget, or to reserve a beach front vacation rental that would otherwise be unavailable during the high season.
  • In the Hatteras area, The earlier your group can reserve a vacation home, the easier your search will be. The most desirable rental homes are booked early. Reserving your rental up to twelve months before your travel dates is recommended. Holidays such as Christmas and Thanksgiving are excellent times to plan and book your rental home.
  • Owners sometimes offer promotional rates for veterans. Make sure to check with your property manager to see if discounts are available for your group.
  • Management companies and individual rental owners usually offer customers an option to purchase vacation insurance. Trip insurance, which normally costs between 1% - 5% of the base reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for missed time as a result of medical-related catastrophes or weather, as well as ensuing additional hurricane evacuation charges, such as an unanticipated hotel stay or extra gasoline expenses.   • Specific information about bedrooms and bed types is usually available on booking pages. Otherwise, contact the property manager before booking the vacation home. Note that most property listings specify maximum guest capacity, which usually includes pull out couches in living rooms.
  • Does your group require unique amenities? Most rental websites include search filters with amenity lists. Amenity filters help you quickly remove less-optimal properties.
  • Appropriate accessibility can make or break a vacation for the less-mobile. Confirm all necessary amenities are available and included before reserving a rental
  • Some properties allow pets, but others do not. Acceptable types of family pet, size and breeds may be restricted, and additional fees may apply. Ask the property management company about allowable pet guidelines before booking.

Considerations for your stay:

  • Be sure you get the property manager's phone number and entry/exit procedures for your rental property.
  • Note any damages to the property at check in, and immediately send them to the property manager. We specifically recommend texts and e-mails, as they usually contain time stamps that are beneficial if damages are attributed to your stay.
  • Hosts are there to help! Feel free to ask any questions before, during, or after your stay.
  • Be a good neighbor. Often, adjacent homes are occupied by permanent residents. Respecting late-night noise limits and parking rules is the right thing to do.
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local resident! Local residents can usually help you find the best spots in town. Who better to ask where to rent beach equipment, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for bird watching?
  • Ensure you protect the rental owner (and your stuff!) by locking the property when you are out, just like you would at home.
  • Just prior to departing, take a walk-through to confirm you have not leave anything behind. Make sure to check bathrooms, garages, and back yards for hidden treasure. Clean the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
  • Inspect the property one final time and look for damage. We advise walking through with the host whenever you can (often this isn't possible). If the host is not available, ensure that you take photos and video of the property to record its condition.
  • Leave feedback! Hosts rely on excellent reviews to inspire future bookings. They'll be much obliged for your feedback. Alternatively, if something wasn't right, other vacationing families will will be grateful for your experience find their best vacation home. Remember to be objective. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the host could control the issue, and if so, whether they responded expeditiously to remedy it.
