The Durant Station Condominiums offer spectacular ocean vistas from every property. All condos have private oceanfront decks, as well as sound side decks for viewing colorful sunsets. Elevator service to all levels makes Durant Station a most convenient choice for all ages: no need to haul suitcases and groceries up long flights of stairs! Guests are just a few short steps to the ocean via a private wooden walkway.

The Hatteras area offers some of the best fishing and sunbathing on the East Coast. At Durant Station, you'll appreciate a host of amenities including one of Hatteras Island's biggest private pools with an adjacent hot tub. The Durant Station Community Center is crowned by the original historic Durant Lifesaving Station tower, a rich piece of Hatteras Island's past. You'll find the Community Center ideal for calming with friends, conducting meetings, wedding events, and receptions, or simply appreciating the lounge areas, which offer a sizable screen TV, and a complete kitchen on the upper level. The Durant Station complex consists of three floors, which start about 12 feet above the ground. The parking lot and walks are paved with concrete.

All retreats are attractively furnished and entirely equipped with linens to make your stay comfortable as well as memorable. All Durant Station condos have central A/C, cable TV with HBO, Satellite HDTV with DVR, wireless high-speed Internet for your laptop, solid surface counters in the kitchen, and sprinkler safety systems for your tranquility of mind. Centrally located on the first floor is a coin-operated laundry facility (which even offers an ocean view). Some retreats have a stackable washer/dryer.

This first-floor corner condo with a wraparound sundeck has a roomy main bedroom. Three TVs, two DVD players, a VCR player, and a stereo/CD/MP3 player are available to savor. A huge separate fish cleaning station, BBQ grilles, and outdoor shower facilities complete the picture.

This home has access to a community pool, the community pools in our area are typically open from Memorial Day to Labor Day. Community pools are operated at the discretion of the community HOA so the availability schedule may be subject to change without notice.

You'll benefit from lower rental rates, greater selection, warm weather and the absence of large crowds at the beach and popular attractions. Many vacationers use this strategy to reserve larger homes, or to reserve an oceanfront vacation rental that would otherwise be unaffordable during the Summer. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook the holidays for a Hatteras vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday on the coast? Christmas, Thanksgiving, and New Years Eve are great times to gather with family and friends at the beach.
  • In the Hatteras area, The sooner you can book a vacation rental, the better your selection will be. The most desirable rental properties are reserved very early. Reserving your rental property up to 12 months before your vacation dates is recommended. Holiday gatherings are excellent times to search for and reserve your rental property.
  • Veterans and Active Duty Military members may be qualified for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective host whether your group qualifies for a price reduction.
  • Management companies and individual rental owners typically offer guests an option to obtain vacation insurance.   • On check-out day, complete a final walk-through to make sure you didn't leave anything behind. Remember to check dressers, closets, and bathrooms for hidden belongings. Clean out the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Inspect the rental one final time and scan for any damage. We recommend walking through with the host whenever you can (often this isn't possible). If the host is not available, remember to take video of the rental to record its condition at check-out.

If your rental and/or property management company was terrific, they would love to hear it.
