Inside the coastal farmhouse, you will find an open living area on the main level that's gorgeously appointed with a sizable-screen TV, a outfitted kitchen, and a huge dining table with all the necessities you need for your stay. Let the kids do their thing downstairs while you prepare on one of two grilles (a 28" Blackstone flat-top grille + charcoal grille). Everyone will have fun stargazing or appreciating smores at the backyard fire pit at nighttime. Ask what constellations can be seen there!

There are 3 bedrooms on the top level that share one bathroom. (The 4th bedroom is on the lower level with an ensuite bathroom.) Two additional full bathrooms are available just steps away from the third level with the 3 bedrooms. The primary room has a king bed and TV. The second guest room has a queen bed and Roku-ready TV. The third guest room has bunk beds that sleep four on twin beds, also with a Roku TV. The fourth guest room is on the lower level with a queen bed/ ensuite full bath for you to appreciate and includes an entertainment area – play board games, watch movies on the enormous TV or play foosball in the adjacent garage.

Linens and towels with beds made are included except for top bunk beds, in which the sheets are supplied. One bath, hand, and wash towel are included for each guest. If you would like extras, you can purchase them from housekeeping directly. We provide beach chairs, beach wagons, umbrellas, and chairs for your five-min. walk to the wide beach, where you can experience surf fishing, playing in the sand, or relaxation. The laundry room with a washer/dryer is available for your use.

We provide starters of laundry pods, dish pods, coffee pods, paper towels, kitchen hand towel, dish cloth, dish liquid, soap, toilet paper, and trash bags to get you going. We recommend picking up additional items such as additional paper products, special toiletries, more coffee, and any specific kitchen supplies you may require for the rest of your vacation. Due to sensitivities, we do not provide shampoo, conditioner or body wash.

We are well-equipped with all the beach gear you need for you to enjoy the beach or the sound at the Salvo Day area (a 5-8 min. drive). With its proximity to 4x4 beaches and surf fishing, attractions such as kiteboarding, surfing, kayaking, jet skiing, rock climbing, shopping, and deep sea fishing, you’re sure to find something fun to do for your family. Savor a nice day trip to Ocracoke Island via a short ferry ride for deep sea fishing, shopping, and great eateries. You're close to all the action - walking distance to the beach, the sound, world-famed REAL Watersports at Waterman’s Bar and Grille, and access to the Tri-Villages sidewalk that bridges Rodanthe, Waves, and Salvo stores and eateries.

We provide you with activities, walking directions to the beach, where to go for food and fun, and an overview of the area. A Ring camera is located on the exterior garage.

Our top Vacation rental booking tips and tricks:

Get the most from your vacation rental budget:

  • Summertime is the most expensive season in the Hatteras area. Reserving a rental home in the Fall or Spring shoulder seasons is one of our best tips for saving money on your rental home. Rates are lower, and you'll find a larger selection of desirable properties. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook the holidays for a Hatteras vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday near the ocean? Christmas, Thanksgiving, and New Years Eve are great times to gather with family and friends at the beach.
  • The sooner your group can book, the easier your search will be. The best vacation homes are booked very early. Reserving your vacation home up to 12 months before your travel dates is recommended. Holiday gatherings are excellent times to search for and book your rental property.
  • Veterans and Active Duty Military members may qualify for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property management company or host if your family qualifies for a special promotion or discount.
  • Property management companies frequently offer their guests an option to add trip insurance protection. Trip insurance, which usually costs between 1% - 5% of the base booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for missed trip time as a result of personal medical-related issues or weather, as well as ensuing additional evacuation costs or charges, such as an unanticipated hotel overnight or additional gasoline expenses. Trip insurance might be a a bank account-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask your host for more information.
  • Often, rental management companies and vacation rental houses supply Hatteras area visitors guides which often include money-saving offers, either offered directly by local businesses, or by way of a relationship with the management company and the business itself. You can also find Hatteras visitors guide magazine and coupon books at local shops and grocery stores.

Planning and picking the perfect Hatteras rental:

  • Select dates and spending budget.
  • Determine how many bedrooms and what type of bedroom configuration your family needs. King Primary + Lower Level Suite + 5 min walk to beach has 4 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms.
  • Specific information regarding bedrooms and bed sizes & counts is regularly available online. Otherwise, reach out to the property owner before you book the rental. Note that most property listings specify maximum guest capacity, which oftentimes includes sofa beds. You'll need to establish which bed configuration is optimal for your group.
  • Are you looking for specific amenities? Most websites include search filters with amenity lists.
  • Suitable accessibility amenities can make or ruin a vacation for the less-mobile. Make certain to inquire about wheel chair entry, pool lifts and specialized equipment needs.
  • Do your family pets travel with you? Although a number of vacation homes allow pets or animals, guidelines and costs vary per property. Allowable pet type, breed, and size are often limited. Remember to ask the property manager before booking, and study your agreement! Additional pet fees or charges applied to your agreement.

More considerations:

  • Take a copy of the property manager's contact number and arrival/departure procedures for your rental property. We recommend storing the manager's information in your smartphone and wallet.
  • To make sure damages aren't attributed to your visit, make note of any problem areas upon your arrival. Get in touch with the rental manager immediately to document your findings. If there is a dispute, having the recorded issues and contact attempts will be useful.
  • Hosts are available to help! Feel free to ask questions before, during, or after your stay.
  • Respecting late-night quiet hours and parking restrictions can make a stay significantly more pleasurable. Be a good neighbor. You will magnify your chance to make some new local friends, and resident neighbors are often a fantastic source for finding the best local restaurants, beaches, and hangouts.
  • Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local! Locals can often point you in the right direction. Who better to ask where to get the best breakfast in town, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for BBQ?
  • Ensure you protect the property owner (and your stuff!) by locking the rental while you are out, just like you would back home.
  • Don't leave anything behind! Just before you drive away, take a walk through the property to make sure you've collected all of your things. Check dressers, closets, and bathrooms for hidden treasure. Clean out the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
  • Go through the rental a final time and scan for damages to contents or the property itself. We recommend walking through with the property manager whenever you can (often this isn't possible). If the manager is not available, take photos and video of the rental to record its condition at check-out.
  • Did your group have a terrific time? Most rental management companies make it easy for customers to provide feedback. If your rental and/or property manager was fantastic, they will likely appreciate your kind words. If anything was out of order and they failed to correct it reasonably, or if the vacation rental wasn't as described, you'll want to make a note as part of your feedback.
