Welcome to Dune Swell! THIS is island living, just steps from the ocean! Unwind at the heart of the island. Buxton is centrally located between all of the best spots to kiteboard, wind surf, fish, beach access, surf, paddleboard, walk, hike, and bicycle.

Convenient, family sized living all on 1 floor, literally a 60 second walk to Cape Hatteras National Seashore. Prefer kite sailing? We are less than a 2 min. drive to Canadian Hole. How about Surfing? We are walking distance. Fishing? We are mins. from some of the World’s most marvelous fishing at the Point.

Our bungalow is only a min.’s walk to Buxton's iconic Beach District where you will find multiple impressive eateries, Hatteras Lighthouse & National Park, fishing & tackle stores, eclectic local stores, convenience stores, ice cream & mini-golf.

The area is safe, peaceful, and is handsome for those looking for a getaway, with the fun and adventure Cape Hatteras offers only steps away!

Located in Buxton, this apartment is by the sea. The area's natural beauty can be seen at Outer Banks Beaches and Buxton Woods Coastal Preserve, while Studio 12 and Kinnakeet Clay Works are cultural highlights. Uncle Eddy's Frozen Custard and 18-Hole Mini Golf and Buxton Seafood are also worth visiting. Be sure to check out the area's animals with activities such as game walks and birdwatching.

  • Don't forget to... Ask a local! Residents can frequently help you find the best spots in town. Who better to ask where to grab the best tacos, have a great night out, or the best spots for bird watching?
  • Don't leave anything behind! Just before departing, walk through the rental property to make sure you've collected everything. Re-check dressers, closets, and bathrooms for hidden items. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
  • Record a video to document the condition of the property.
  • Remember to leave a review! Hosts rely on excellent reviews to drive more bookings. They'll be much obliged for your feedback.
