Whether you're a watersports enthusiast or simply want to relax in one of the most relaxing settings on the Outer Banks, Windrush By The Sound is the premier choice for an memorable Hatteras Island vacation.

Your soundfront experience begins with your very own private pier, which includes a dock for launching craft into the Pamlico Sound. A grassy area in the backyard and covered storage space on the ground level offer plenty of room for watersports gear and beach toys. The ground level also includes an outdoor kitchen with stovetop, microwave, sink, gas grille and table with seating for effortless al fresco dining.

The upper levels of Windrush By The Sound are equally impressive, featuring updates and sought-after amenities throughout. A reverse floorplan makes the most of the waterfront location, with the main living area on the top floor where everybody can savor the unobstructed vistas of the sound. There's plenty of space to gather and entertain in the open-concept great room with comfortable electric fireplace and a wall of west-facing windows for admiring the view. It leads out to a soundfront deck where you can soak up the sun by day or lounge under the stars at nighttime. Back inside, the roomy and freshly remodeled kitchen features quartz countertops and stainless steel appliances. An island with bar seating for four plus a enormous dining table for eight accepts everybody to sit down and appreciate meals together. Just off the living area you'll find a media room that offers the same awesome view along with a Intelligent TV for watching your favorites shows, movies or the big game. The first of six king bedrooms is also located on this floor.

Downstairs, the mid-level consists of five additional king bedrooms, four of which are ensuite for plenty of privacy. Show off your billiard skills on the pool table in the rec room, which includes a wet bar, full-size refrigerator and microwave for convenient drinks and snacks. From there, you'll have direct access onto the mid-level deck where a sunken 6-person hot tub awaits you. It's the ideal place to relax at the end of the day while watching the sun go down.

Located in Mirlo Beach, Windrush By The Sound provides guests with access to community tennis and pickleball courts, along with a boardwalk to the ocean for simple beach access. Dogs are welcome at Windrush By The Sound, so bring your canine family members with you to play on the pet-friendly beaches of Hatteras Island.

Please note that the daily effects of winds, waves, tides and storms have contributed to coastal erosion impacts at Cape Hatteras National Seashore, particularly adjacent to the villages of Rodanthe and Buxton. The effects of erosion in these towns result in dynamic and unpredictable changes to the dune line, which may unexpectedly affect beach access. Guests may need to utilize alternate beach access points during their stay.
