BEACH DAY RETREAT, a distinctive three-bedroom/two-bath bungalow delivers on both with loads of family-friendly amenities to inspire a carefree and memorable hideaway.

It’s painless to spot the pitched, red-roofed home as you pull into the peaceful cul-de-sac in Avon Village. Bring your dog and favorite yard games ... a cavernous, grassy lawn is ideal for both. Your kids will adore the bicycle-friendly neighborhood and you’ll appreciate the gated area under the home to keep younger kids, dogs, and your watersport equipment safe and secure. There’s also an outdoor shower and wash sink here for an simple beach day cleanup. A few steps up to the first level reveals BEACH DAY RETREAT’S main living space including a great room that features an inviting couch and chairs as well as a Intelligent TV. A section of the coffee table pops up to provide a great workstation for those who can’t escape computer time. The kitchen, outfitted with portable Bluetooth® speakers so you can stream your favorites from wherever you may be, is well-equipped to accommodate your favorite vacation meals that can be served at the four-stool kitchen counter, at a six-person table in the sunroom, and another counter that seats four. Two bedrooms - a freshly furnished queen and one with two single bunk beds - are also located on this level and share a hallway full bath. The third bedroom, an ensuite king featuring a private bath is located on the second level along with a media room with wood-beamed cathedral ceilings, a roomy sectional couch, a Intelligent TV, and a bookcase loaded with books, games, and puzzles. There is also access to a second-level deck through the top level with stairs connecting it to the main deck. All of the bedrooms feature Intelligent TVs.

BEACH DAY RETREAT’s ideal location puts you within a bicycle ride or less than a 10-min. walk to the ocean beaches, and you pass a crowd favorite, Dairy Queen, on the way. Favorite local eateries of Avon Village and the Pamlico Sound’s opportunities for watercraft adventures are right around the corner. Guests of BEACH DAY RETREAT also have access to the Kinnakeet Shores community pool and tennis courts. But it may be the home’s fantastic sun decks that will draw you in to relax in the 6-person hot tub, sink into an Adirondack chair with a good book, or soak in those vitamin D rays. Vacation Rental Protection Plan: This required non-returnable $95 plan covers accidental damage within the home with a coverage limit of $3,000. It does not cover theft or willful misconduct.
