From the moment you arrive, you’ll see how the possibilities are countless in this freshly furnished and painted four-bedroom/three-bathroom home. While a boardwalk stretches across the dunes to the beach, access to a cool dip in the water is as close as a private pool; a warmer one in the eight-person hot tub. There’s a fish cleaning station for those angling to catch a seafood dinner and two outdoor showers to make cleanup a breeze.
Three of the home’s bedrooms are located on the first level including two kings with deck access and a bedroom accommodating four with two bunk beds. There are two full hallway baths on this level. The final bedroom, consisting of a king with access to a full hallway bath, is located on the third level. All of the bedrooms feature Intelligent TVs.

About the Area
Located in Avon, this vacation home is on the beach. Uncle Eddy's Frozen Custard and 18-Hole Mini Golf and Buxton Woods Nature Trail are worth checking out if an activity is on the agenda, while those looking for area attractions can visit Surf's Up and Hatteras Island Boardsports. Get the best rental value:
- Reserve your vacation home as early as possible. Rental schedules generally become available 12 months in advance (or in September just after Summertime ends). Many families book their Summer rentals during Winter holiday gatherings. Reserve before these holidays for best selection.
- June, July, and August are the most expensive months in the Hatteras area. Booking a rental in the Fall or Spring is a good way to save on your rental home. Rates are lower, and you'll find a better selection of acceptable homes. Many vacationers use this strategy to reserve larger homes, or to reserve a beach front rental that would otherwise be unaffordable during the Summer.
- Hosts sometimes offer special rates for veterans and active duty military. Remember to ask your host or property manager if special discounts are available for your group before you book.
- Property management companies usually offer customers an option to purchase trip insurance. Trip insurance, which usually costs between 1% - 5% of the base booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for days missed as a result of personal medical-related issues or weather, as well as ensuing additional hurricane evacuation charges, such as an unexpected hotel stay or extra gasoline expenses. Trip insurance might be a a life-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your property manager for additional information.
- Look for your local Hatteras visitors guide upon checking in. If your rental property doesn't have a copy, you can find them at local grocery stores and visitor centers. In addition to great information, visitors guide magazines contain offers and deals for nearby restaurants, attractions, and tours.

- Specific descriptions of bedrooms and bed sizes & counts is almost always available on booking websites. If they are not listed, call the property manager before reserving the vacation home. Remember that most property listings specify maximum guest capacity, which oftentimes includes sofa beds.
- Some properties allow pets, but others don't. Allowable types of dog or cat, weight and breeds may be restricted, and additional costs may apply. Ask the property management company about your furry family members before booking.
- Are you visiting for a single event or attraction? Use a map search to browse nearby properties.
- Proper accessibility can make or break a vacation for guests that require the use of a wheelchair. .
