An Oceanside tiny home in placid Frisco. Just a short walk to the beach down serene residential road. Once a glassblowing studio, the home was completely modernized in March 2020. A new, clean, functional, special, space.
Quite cavernous for a "tiny home", the high ceilings and many windows make calming a joy. And the outside brick deck and yard space are great for appreciating Hatteras Island's wild serenity.
About the Area
Frisco is home to this cottage. Scotch Bonnet Marina and Frisco Mini Golf and Go Karts are worth checking out if an activity is on the agenda, while those looking for area attractions can visit Frisco Native American Museum and Buxton Seafood. Frisco vacation rental booking tips and tricks:
Find your perfect rental home:
- Reserve your vacation home as early as possible. Rental schedules usually open 12 months in advance (or in September just after Summer ends). Many groups reserve their Summer rental homes during Christmas and Thanksgiving get-togethers. Reserve before these holidays for best selection.
- Summer is high season in the Hatteras area. Booking a rental in Fall or Spring months is our favorite way to save money on your vacation rental. Rates are lower, and you'll find a better selection of acceptable homes.
- Some owners offer promotional rates for veterans and active duty military. It's always a good idea to check with your host or property manager to see if special discounts are available for your family before you book.
- Property managers typically offer renters an option to buy vacation insurance. Trip insurance, which generally will cost you 1% - 5% of the reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for any missed trip time as a result of personal medical-related issues or weather disasters, as well as evacuation charges, such as an unexpected hotel overnight or additional fuel expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a life-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your host for specifics.
- Often, management companies supply Hatteras area visitor guides which will include coupons, either offered directly by local companies, or through a partnership between the rental management company and the business itself. You can also find Hatteras visitors guide magazine and coupon books at local grocery stores, shopping centers, and visitor centers.
Planning and choosing your prefectrental home:
- Begin by selecting vacation dates and a budget.
- Decide how many beds and the configuration your family requires. Oceanside Tiny House in Beautiful Frisco has 1 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms.
- Precise descriptions of bedrooms and bed sizes & counts is usually accessible on booking websites. Otherwise, email or call the property management company before you book the home. Note that most properties list the max. guest capacity, which frequently includes pull-out couches and bunk beds. You'll need to establish what is suitable for your trip.
- If your family is bringing pets, you must reserve a property that allows animals. Get details on breed, weight, and type restrictions. Note that some property owners require additional pet deposits and fees.
- If there's an individual Hatteras attraction you crave, browse rentals that are either near by, or those that cater to your needs.
- Suitable accessibility amenities can make or break a vacation for persons with a disability. Make certain to ask about wheel chair accessibility, pool lifts and specialized equipment needs.
During your stay:
- Put the manager's contact information in your smartphone and wallet.
- Ask questions. You may need instructions for a fireplace, elevator or coffee maker. Contact your owner. They are there to help! A brief call prevents a lot of concerns.
- Protect the owner (and your stuff!) by locking the property when you are out, just like you would back home.
- At Check-in, document any issues with the rental property and immediately contact the host. Record all coorespondence.
- Don't forget to respect your neighbors. Frequently, adjacent homes are occupied by local residents. Respecting quiet hours and parking policies reduces conflict and allows everyone to enjoy their day.
- Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local resident! Locals can frequently help you find exactly what you're looking for. Who better to ask where to enjoy a steak with a view, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for crabbing?
- Re-check every room of the vacation property to confirm that you've packed all personal items on check-out day. Remember to check garages, decks, and cabinets for hidden treasure. Clean out the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
- Record a video to document the condition of the property.
- Remember to leave a review! Property managers rely on great feedback to compel more bookings. They'll be much obliged for your review. Alternatively, if something wasn't right, other families will be thankful you shared your review find their best vacation rental. Remember to be objective. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the host could control the issue, and if so, whether they responded reasonably to fix it.
