ALL SWELL will make everybody in the family happy. Savor the modern elegance from the moment you step into this eleven bedroom home. Every day can be a family day. Parlor in the fenced in backyard and in the private swimming pool or toss a frisbee on the grassy area. Dry the kids off, just long enough for a fast lunch at the covered outdoor dining area. Keep the bubbly hot tub for the adults and once the kids have gone to bed, slip back outside and take a soak. With the moment of silence, take deep breaths of the fresh salty air and listen to the waves rolling on the beach just past the fence.

Access to the home from the pool deck is painless. Use the elevator, exterior deck stairs or the front stairs to get inside. The second level of the home is the entertainment center of the home, with a game room including a pool table and theater room.

The second level of the home features the most bedrooms. Four king master bedrooms with a private attached bath. One king master with a handicap-friendly bath. A pyramid bunk master bedroom. And a final huge master suite with additional space to spread out and an attached private bath. Four bedrooms have deck access. Two overlook the pool area with handsome ocean vistas and two have access to the front facing deck.

The top level of the home, with the final two master bedrooms, has the heart of the home. A sizable stainless steel kitchen will make all the cooks in your family happy. They can prepare a royal feast and gather everybody together at the dining table to share stories. The comfortable great room is the best place to relax after a beach day, with natural light from the deck basking the room in a warm summer glow. Vacation Rental Protection Plan: This required non-returnable $95 plan covers accidental damage within the home with a coverage limit of $3,000. It does not cover theft or willful misconduct. You must notify Surf or Sound Realty of any damage that occurs during your occupancy or this coverage will be void. Coverage is effective at time of check-in and ends at time of check-out.

About the Area

Located in Hatteras, this vacation home is on the beach. Graveyard of the Atlantic Museum and Frisco Native American Museum are cultural highlights, and some of the area's activities can be experienced at Village Marina and Hatteras Harbor Marina. Frisco Mini Golf and Go Karts and Buxton Seafood are also worth visiting. Be sure to check out the area's animals with activities such as game walks and birdwatching.

When to visit & When to reserve a Hatteras rental home:

  • June, July, and August are high season in Hatteras. Book your vacation home in Fall or Spring months to get the benefit of warm weather while saving money and avoiding crowded roads, restaurants, and activities.
  • The earlier you can reserve a home, the easier your search will be. The most desirable vacation homes are reserved very early. Reserving your rental 6-12 months before your vacation dates is recommended. Holidays such as Christmas and Thanksgiving are excellent times to search for and book your vacation home.
