Be among the first to stay at our brand new beach bungalow in Salvo, NC and make memorable memories in the Outer Banks! Finished in April 2024, this home is a traditional beach box style, with an open floor plan, modern kitchen, and a fresh coastal vibe. Unwind in an Adirondack chair on the front porch and watch the kiteboarders, or pair the ideal sunset with a glass of wine. Beach access is a fast walk away, with private access right at the end of our street. After the beach a elegant outdoor shower awaits you to wash away the sand.

The bungalow has three bedrooms, and will comfortably sleep 8 people. The master bedroom has a king size bed with on suite bathroom. The second bedroom has a queen bed. The third bedroom has a queen bed and a bunk bed with two twin beds (note that only kids should sleep on the top bunk). The queen and bunk rooms share a full bathroom.

Outside: Savor lunch or dinner breathing in the salt air! There is a new enormous gas grille available for guest use under the home, and a sizable wood picnic table. Afterwards, challenge your friends and family to a game of Cornhole or go for a bicycle ride for ice cream (only a half mile down the street!). Four Adirondack chairs surround a wood burning fire pit in the side yard, ideal for calming at home after a long day at the beach.

Extras: To make your vacation more convenient we have some extras available for use: 2 kayaks, beach chairs, body boards, bicycles, and a beach cart! Save room in your car and save money on units! A $500 value!

Getting the best vacation home experience:

Cost saving strategies:

  • June, July, and August are the most expensive months along the coast of NC. To find the largest rental home within your budget, we recommend reserving in Spring or Fall. You'll enjoy lower rates, better selection, warm weather and the absence of giant crowds at the beach and popular attractions.
  • Book your rental as early as possible. Rental schedules usually open twelve months in advance (or in September just after the Summer season ends). Many groups book their Summer rentals during holiday gatherings. Book before these holidays for best selection.
  • Veterans and Active Duty Military members may be qualified for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective host if your family qualifies for a special promotion or discount.
  • Property managers usually offer guests an option to obtain vacation insurance. Trip insurance, which commonly will cost you 1% - 5% of the stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for missed trip time as a result of medical-related emergencies or weather disasters, as well as ensuing additional evacuation costs or charges, such as an unanticipated hotel overnight or extra gasoline expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a welcome relief if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your host for program terms and fees.
  • Often, property management companies and vacation rental houses supply Hatteras area visitors guides which include money-saving deals, either offered independently by local companies, or by way of a relationship between the management company and the business itself. You can also find Hatteras visitors guide and coupon books at local gas stations and shopping centers.

How to select the perfect vacation rental:

  • Begin by choosing the best vacation week and a maximum budget.
  • Determine how many beds and the configuration your group needs. BRAND NEW beach cottage\/Water View\/ Beach Gear\/5min walk to beach! has 3 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms.
  • Specific information about bedrooms and bed types is often accessible on booking websites. Otherwise, contact the host before you book the rental. Note that most properties list maximum guest capacity, which usually includes pull out couches in living rooms.
  • Are you looking for particular amenities? Most rental search websites include search filters for amenities. Filtering by amenity will allow you to quickly find the best rental home.
  • Proper accessibility amenities can make or break a vacation for persons with disabilities. Remember to confirm all necessary amenities are available and included before reserving a rental
  • Some rentals allow pets, but others don't. Allowable types of family pet, weight and breeds may be restricted, and added fees may apply. Ask the property management company about pet restrictions before booking.

Some things to know before you go:

  • Take a copy of the owner's phone number and entry/exit procedures for your . We recommend storing the manager's contact information in your smartphone.
  • Record any issues with the property at check in, and immediately e-mail them to the property manager. We especially recommend texts and e-mails, as they usually contain built-in time stamps that can be valuable if damages are assessed.
  • Property managers are great sources of help! Don't be shy to ask questions before, during, or after your stay.
  • Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like obnoxious vacationers disrupting your peace. Employ the golden rule for best judgement. Happy residents may even recommend great beaches and places you would've not otherwise known!
  • Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local! Residents can frequently help you find the best spots in town. Who better to ask where to order the best nachos, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for shopping?
  • Lock your rental home while you are away. Protect the owner's property and your things!
  • When it's time to leave, take a final walk-through to make sure you did not forget anything. Check garages, decks, and cabinets for hidden treasure. Clean the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Go through the property one final time and keep an eye out for damage. We advise inspecting the property with the property manager whenever you can. If the host isn't available, remember to take photos of the rental to record its condition at check-out.
  • Did your family have a great vacation? Most rental home management companies make it easy for vacationers to provide comments. If your property and/or host was terrific, they will likely appreciate your kind words. If anything was imperfect and they failed to fix it in a reasonable manner, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make it a point as part of your review.
