This appealing bungalow is the ideal hideaway in the Outer Banks, especially for couples. Located in the peaceful village of Hatteras, far from the tourist hordes of northern OBX, it offers a relaxing tranquility by the ocean.
Savor the vistas from the rooftop deck; see the mesmerizing ocean and dolphins playing on the surface of the water during the day. Appreciate a drink and view the most magnificant sunsets in the evening. Bright stars accompany the nights from this vantage point.
Island Time is a complimentary-standing bungalow on stilts with parking for one car underneath. The bungalow is modest so we have tried to maximize the space in an efficient yet tasteful way. The bed has a new Serta Ideal Sleeper bed with a gel bed topper. It's comfortable! Linens are supplied.
Beach chairs, umbrellas and body boards are included so you can immediately savor the warm sunshine on the beach. Bath towels are supplied! Please bring your own beach towels.
The kitchen is well-supplied so you'll have what you need to prepare meals. Charcoal grilles and picnic tables are included on the grounds for those of you who grille-masters. Local eateries are known for their great-tasting fresh seafood.
Wifi is supplied so you can stream movies or TV shows from your favorite entertainment platforms.
We are new owners and we appreciate this little oceanfront bungalow. We're anxious for you to experience all the reasons we appreciate the Outer Banks!

Strategies to get the perfect vacation property experience:
Getting the most from your rental budget:
- Book your rental as early as possible. Rental schedules usually become available twelve months in advance (or in September just after Summer ends). Many groups reserve their Summer rental homes during Winter holiday get-togethers. Reserve before these holidays for best selection.
- Booking your vacation home in the Fall or Spring is our favorite way to save money on your vacation. Rates are lower, and you'll find a better selection of acceptable properties.
- Some hosts and property managers offer rate reductions for veterans. Remember to ask your property manager if discounts are available for your family.
- Property management companies usually offer customers an option to purchase vacation insurance. Trip insurance, which costs 1% - 5% of the base stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for any missed days as a result of personal medical-related emergencies or weather, as well as hurricane evacuation costs, such as an unanticipated hotel stay or additional fuel expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a welcome relief if the unforeseen happens. Ask your property manager for specifics.
- Find a copy of your local Hatteras visitors guide magazine when you arrive at the rental property. If your rental doesn't have one, you can find them at local grocery stores, shopping centers, and visitor centers. In addition to great local articles, visitor guides have coupons for nearby accommodations, restaurants and tours.
How to pick the perfect vacation rental in the Hatteras area:
- Select a group leader, select your trip dates, and select a spending budget.
- Determine how many bedrooms and the configuration your family requires. Island Time is an enchanting oceanfront cottage perfect for couples has 1 bedrooms and 1 bathrooms.
- Precise information about bedrooms and bed sizes & counts is almost always accessible on booking pages. If you don't see them listed, call the property owner before reserving the vacation property. Note that most properties list the max. guest capacity, which oftentimes includes pull-out couches. You'll need to establish what configuration is optimal for your group.
- Some properties allow pets, and some don't. Acceptable types of pet, weight and breeds may be restricted, and additional costs may apply. Ask the owner about pets before booking.
- If there's a particular Hatteras attraction you love, search for properties that are either close by, or those that cater especially to your needs.
- Suitable accessibility can make or break a vacation for the less-mobile. Make certain to inquire about specialized equipment and wheel chair accessibility.
Have a great stay:
- Review check in & check out procedures before leaving home. Add a note with the instructions to your phone, and take a printed backup.
- Hosts are great sources of help! Feel free to ask any questions during your stay.
- Protect the property owner (and your things!) by keeping the rental locked up while you are away, just like you would at home.
- To make sure that no damages are attributed to your stay, note any problem areas during arrival. Make contact with the rental manager right away to report any issues. If there is a dispute about legal responsibility later, having the recorded problems and contact attempts will be helpful.
- Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like obnoxious vacationers bothering your peaceful home. Use the golden rule for common sense. Happy residents may even recommend great beaches and scenic spots you would've not otherwise known!
- Don't forget to... Ask a local resident! Locals can typically help you find the best spots in town. Who better to ask where to get the best seafood, have a great night out, or the best spots for bird watching?
- Don't leave anything behind! Before you drive away, walk through the rental property to make sure you've collected all belongings. Check garages, decks, and cabinets for hidden treasure. Clean out the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
- Record a video to document the condition of the property.
- Remember to leave feedback! Hosts rely on excellent reviews to drive new bookings. They'll be thankful for your review. Alternatively, if something wasn't right, other vacationers will will be grateful for your experience and help them have the best future vacation. Remember to be objective. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the owner had any control over the issue, and if so, whether they responded expeditiously to fix it.
