Appreciate the vistas from the rooftop deck; see the mesmerizing ocean and dolphins playing on the surface of the water during the day. Savor a drink and view the most impressive sunsets in the evening. Bright stars accompany the nights from this vantage point.

Beach chairs, umbrellas and body boards are included so you can immediately appreciate the warm sunshine on the beach. Bath towels are included! Please bring your own beach towels.
The kitchen is well-supplied so you'll have what you need to prepare meals. Charcoal grilles and picnic tables are supplied on the grounds for those of you who grille-masters. Local eateries are known for their great-tasting fresh seafood.

Our top Hatteras rental booking tips:
Get the most from your spending budget:
- Booking in the Fall or Spring shoulder seasons is one of our best tips for saving money on your vacation rental. Rates are lower, and you'll find a better selection of suitable properties. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook the holidays for a Hatteras vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday on the coast? Thanksgiving and Christmas are great times to gather with friends and family at the beach.
- In the Hatteras area, The earlier your group can book a rental home, the better your selection will be. The most desirable vacation homes are booked very early. Booking your vacation rental six - twelve months before your vacation dates is recommended. Holidays such as Christmas and Thanksgiving are excellent times to plan and book your rental home.
- Some hosts offer rate reductions for veterans. Ask your host or property manager if rate reductions are available for your group before you book.
- Property managers typically offer renters an option to obtain trip insurance protection. Trip insurance, which commonly will cost you 1% - 5% of the base stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for any missed trip time as a result of medical-related catastrophes or weather, as well as evacuation costs or charges, such as an unexpected hotel stay or additional gas expenses. Trip insurance might be a a life-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask your property manager for program terms and fees.
- Look for your local Hatteras area magazine when you check-in. If your rental doesn't have one, you can find them at local grocery stores and visitor centers. In addition to great local information, visitor guide magazines contain coupons for local accommodations, restaurants and tours.
How to choose the perfect rental:
- Choose a designated group leader, select your vacation dates, and choose a budget.
- Note the number bedrooms and what type of bedroom configuration you need. Island Time is an enchanting oceanfront cottage perfect for couples has 1 bedrooms and 1 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our rental home search.
- Precise descriptions of bedrooms and bed counts is often accessible on booking websites. If you don't see them listed, contact the property manager before reserving the property. Note that most listings specify the maximum guest capacity, which oftentimes includes sofa beds. You will need to establish what is best for your group.
- If there's a certain Hatteras attraction you simply love, search for rentals that are either close by, or those that cater to your desires.
- Suitable accessibility amenities can make or break a vacation for the less-mobile. Confirm all required amenities are available before reserving a rental.
- Some rentals allow pets, but some do not. Acceptable types of family pet, weight and breeds may be restricted, and added fees may apply. Ask the property management company about allowable breeds and types before booking.
Tips for your stay:
- Take a copy of the owner's contact number and arrival/departure procedures for your rental home.
- To ensure that damages are not attributed to your family's stay, inspect the rental for any problem areas when you arrive. Make contact with the host immediately to record your findings. If there is a dispute about legal responsibility later, having a record of issues and contact attempts will be helpful.
- Ask questions. You may want instructions for a garage door opener, elevator or appliance. Contact your owner. They are there to help! A brief call prevents lots of concerns.
- Respecting quiet hours and parking rules can make a stay more pleasurable. Be a good neighbor. You'll magnify your chance to make local friends, and resident neighbors are often an incredible resource to find the best local beaches and restaurants.
- Don't forget to... Ask a local resident! Neighbors can often point you in the right direction. Who better to ask where to order delicious takeout, have a great night out, or the best spots for BBQ?
- Lock your vacation home while you are out and about. Protect your property!
- On check-out day, complete a final walk-through to make sure you did not leave anything behind. Re-check garages, decks, and cabinets for hidden treasure. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
- Record a video to document the condition of the property.
- Remember to leave a review! Property owners rely on good feedback to inspire new reservations. They'll be grateful for your review. Alternatively, if something wasn't as described, other families will be thankful you shared your experience and help them have the best future vacation. Please be objective. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the host had any control over the issue, and if so, whether they responded reasonably to remedy it.
