Upon arrival and throughout the week, save your energy for the waves and send your suitcases and groceries up the Stair Tamer suitcases lift. Then let your day melt away in the opulent hot tub found on the broad pool deck while the kids splash in the private swimming pool.

A few steps up from the pool, step in the slider to the well-appointed game room with pool table, half bath and kitchenette providing the ideal place for preparing and setting up lunch between beach and pool time. A TV lounge accompanies the game room with bar seating and comfortable couches in front of the huge flat screen TV. Two bedrooms (1 queen, 2 single) on this level share a full bath between them.

Choose from four more elegant and well-sized bedrooms on the mid-level including two king master suites each with private bathroom, and another two bedrooms (1 queen, 2 single) that share a full bath between them. The washer and dryer are located on this level as well.

The top level great room impresses with high, vaulted ceilings, sizable sectional couch, and beach-themed décor. A bespoke-constructed wall unit homes a enormous flat screen TV for evening enjoyment as meals are prepared in the close by kitchen. Seat the entire group together at the 14-person dining table while another 3 seats at the breakfast bar provide seating flexibility. An adjacent sunroom offers seating with a view of both ocean and lake along with doors to top level decks on both sides of the home.

Located in Waves, this vacation home is on the beach. The area's natural beauty can be seen at Outer Banks Beaches and Cape Hatteras National Seashore. When to go & When to book:

• Book your rental as soon as possible. Rental schedules often open twelve months in advance (or in September just after Summertime ends). Many groups book their Summer rentals during Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years Eve get-togethers. Book before these holidays for best selection.

Some things to know before you go:

• Ensure you protect the rental owner (and your things!) by locking the rental while you are gone, just like you would at home.
• Upon check-in, make note of any damages to the rental property and immediately alert the host. Keep records of all coorespondence.
