Predator Sport Fishing operates year round out of Hatteras, North Carolina. We mainly do offshore Gulf Stream trips, but will do half days if available close to the wanted date. We fish for Tuna, Mahi Mahi, Wahoo, Blue and White Marlin, and Sailfish on our offshore trips. We sometimes stop over a wreck to do some high speed vertical jigging for Amberjacks and Almaco Jacks.
On our half day trips we will be fishing just outside the inlet off of the shoreline for our varied inshore species, mostly targeting Spanish Mackerel and Bluefish. If the time is right we may even catch a few Cobia.
The Predator is a 57’ custom built vessel, equipped with top of the line Furuno Electronics from GPS and color chart plotters to fishfinder and radar. We also have all USCG approved and required safety equipment.
We have a full range of Shimano reels on new custom built rods from 20lb up to 130. We have some stand up gear available if you’re feeling adventurous. The boat’s cockpit is equipped with three fighting chairs, one large one in the center and two smaller ones on the sides, so there’s plenty of seating for all when the fish are biting.
The crew of Predator Sport Fishing prides itself in keeping a clean, mechanically safe and sound boat. When you board in the morning you’ll be able to enjoy the spacious, climate controlled cabin and can relax on your ride to the fishing grounds. We have a microwave for your convenience as well as an entertainment center for your enjoyment.
Things you need to bring are the basics: sunscreen, sunglasses, a hat, proper clothing for the weather, and sneakers with a non-marring sole, if possible. You will also need to bring a cooler with your food and drink for the day. Alcohol is allowed, but we’d prefer if you bring it in cans, since it is much safer than glass. There is a bar and a table where you can eat.
We provide all bait, tackle and ice for your catch during the day. Fish cleaning will be available at the dock if you choose.
